What is AC3 Laminate Rating?

ac3 commercial ratingCommercial = Moderate Traffic - Such as hotel rooms & small offices


AC3 is classed as 'heavy domestic use' and the highest residential rating. AC4 & AC5 rated laminate can of course be used domestically, however according to the EPLF, AC3 is suitable for all areas of the home.

AC3 (abrasion class) is the middle classification - the abrasion class system is maintained by the EPLF - European Producers of Laminate Flooring who provide a wealth of information and accredited members in the laminate flooring sector.
