B&Q Quick Step Laminate Flooring

Over 10 years ago, Quick Step developed their revolutionary new installation mechanism Uniclic. This easy to use system has made Quick Step incredibly popular in the home market due to it's speed, simplicity and the fact it can be used glueless. B&Q offer two ranges of their products - the Quick Step Andante and the Quick Step Calando. Due to their quality in manufacture, Quick Step's floors are suitable for most applications in the house. This range is a single plank product and are all suitable for underfloor heating. The products in B&Q's quick step range are:-

• Quick Step Andante Natural Oak Effect - 190mm x 8mm - 1.722 m² per pack. This light toned oak effect floor can transform a dark setting room into a stunning contemporary area. Fantastic for living areas, kitchens and bedrooms.
• Quick Step Andante Dark Oak - 190mm x 8mm - 1.722 m² per pack. A dark brown earthy tone gives an excellent setting for rustic furniture and bright contrasting colours.
• Quick Step Calando Midnight Oak Natural - 190mm x 8mm - 1.596 m² per pack. This beige laminate floor brings a fun feel effect to any well lit area.
• Quick Step Calando Old Oak Effect Light Grey - 190mm x 8mm - 1.596 m² per pack. This light grey oak effect matches perfectly with a contemporary interior and provides an authentic look and feel at the same time. Great for bedrooms and dining areas.
• Quick Step Calando Walnut Effect - 190mm x 8mm - 1.596 m² per pack. This floor gives something slightly different than the oak effect and comes with all the benefits of a Quick Step product such as rapid easy installation using Uniclic and scratch guard family safe properties.

B&Q AquaLOC Laminate Flooring

AquaLOC as the name suggest is suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, as well as most areas in the house. Due to it's moisture resistance, water can be spilled on the surface but must be cleaned up and not left standing.

• Aqualoc+ Peruvian Pine Effect - Each pack covers 1.25 M² and features a 12mm impact/moisture proof core. This floor is suitable for all round domestic usage.
• Aqualoc+ Auburn Brown Elm Effect Plank - Each pack covers 1.405M² and also features a moisture proof 12mm core. Light brown in colour this is an elegant solution for bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms.
• Aqualoc+ Laurel Brown Elm Effect Plank - Each pack covers 1.41 M² and is part of the SimpliFit range from B&Q (as are all AquaLOC products.) Easy to install, inexpensive and comes with a domestic guarantee.
• Aqualoc+ Milano Oak Effect - Each pack covers 1.25 M². The Milano Oak is a modern trendy beige moisture resistant floor from B&Q costing around 16 per square metre.

What's the difference between AquaLOC and AquaLOC+ ???

The main difference is that AquaLOC+ has been developed for the commercial market as well as residential. This indicates the product is suitable for usage in offices or businesses and as added bonus features moisture proof technology, which when combined with a waterproof sealer provides a solid floor for use in bathrooms or water exposed locatons.

Many of the products in AquaLOC are available in 2-strip and 3-strip plank designs. The core is 12mm impact and moisture resistant which means that spillages should be cleared up immediatley, it is not spefically designed to be waterproof but moisture resistant.
