Commercial Laminate Flooring
For commercial properties looking at laminate flooring as a floor, there are a number of considerations to take into account to ensure you are legally protected and that you are adhering to the law with regards to health and safety.
Laminate flooring is an excellent solution for cafes, coffee houses, offices and many more commercial properties. The advantages of using laminate in a commercial environment is the ease of cleaning, hygiene, easy maintenance, affordability and the light warm appearance. It's a very easy floor to clean and stains/spillages can be quickly cleaned up with a lightly damp mop. Some laminates are not suitable if you intend to expose the flooring surface to regular spillages or water. Great care must be take to keep water from the laminate surface particularly overnight or standing for a period of over 1 hour. Another major advantage is that laminate is hard wearing, particularly if you are looking at the Abrasion Class - AC Rating of each floor. For commercial properties you really need to consider a floor of AC3, AC4 or AC5. The amount of footfall/wear & tear will help you determine which AC rating to opt for, we've described these ratings below.
