Wickes Laminate Floor Adhesives
When planning your laminate flooring project it's an ongoing issue on whether or not to use adhesive with your laminate product. Many of the products in todays marketplace are classed as 'glueless' meaning you do not strictly require any form of adhesive to install the floor. For first timers or less experienced DIYers this may sound great, but for people who may have experienced damages, water spills and loose fitting boards they may have a different opinion.
Should I use adhesive on my laminate floor?
In general you can install a glueless laminate floor without any need or requirements for adhesive. However if you are installing into a kitchen or bathroom then it's 100% necessary. Any areas which are likely to be frequently splashed by water it's probably worth glueing these joints to prevent unnecessary damage to the floor. Applying glue to a laminate floor however creates mess, and can extend the amount of time before you can walk on it as usually you require 24 hours to properly cure.
